The boys and I all shot in the Tucannon 3D Archery Shoot this past weekend. My mom went along for the weekend too. We found a nice campsite, and the boys made friends with two boys at the campsite across the creek while we set up. Apparently, the boys told the fathers of their new friends that we needed firewood (a task I was going to tackle after we got the tent put up). So, you can imagine my surprise when two men showed up in our site with their arms full of firewood. The men told us we were smart to send such cute kids to beg for firewood (We did no such thing. I was mortified!). I explained to the nice gentlemen that we had no idea they were going to do that, then thanked them profusely for their generous donation. Then they invited us over to their camp for spaghetti.
Friday night it rained while we slept so we woke up to a bit of moisture.
Levi told everyone he met how his socks got wet when he went outside to pee. He's not a shy boy... at all!
After our breakfast of gogurt and biscuit and gravy pockets (a suggestion from my sister - SO GOOD!), we headed out to start shooting.

Levi couldn't decide whether to shoot left- or right-handed.
CJ had some good challenging shots. I was proud of him for being able to hit the targets from so far away.
Right-handed this time!
Yes, those are frogs! There were also some other fun targets like dinosaurs, a cheetah, a jaguar, and jackalope!
Of the whole weekend this target is the one CJ was most happy about. He stuck it dead-center in the metal target. Yay! We both walked away with our arrows in tact!
He was on cloud nine for the rest of the day!
I mentioned some challening shots. Here's one of them. Can you see what I'm shooting at?
It's a blonde bear right there through the trees.
I think this was CJ's longest shot.
It snowed on us while we were shooting, but at least it wasn't rain!
We all had such a great time!
When we were done for the day we headed back to camp for some tacos! Yum!
And the next morning we were all ready to do it again!
