My Baby is Four Today, and Bowling Fun

Here's the birthday boy, picture taken this morning.

Four years ago I was holding him and marveling at the miracle in my arms.

 

 

And now he has a mind of his own, is independent, has a huge personality, is a complete goofball, and has lots and lots of energy!

We had his birthday party last night at the local bowling alley.  There were 11 children there.  With many different bowling styles and approaches. Let me share.

This is the drop method. We had a few that used this technique. 

 Levi opted for the very popular push method. Take your ball up to the line, make sure it's in the right position.

Then gently give it a little push.

Then wait. Anyone who has bowled with small children knows there's a lot of waiting involved.

Lots and lots of waiting for the ball to reach the pins. Might as well sit down.

In fact, if you can get a buddy to sit and wait with you it's even more fun. Sometimes the ball needs a bit of encouraging.

Then the moment comes when the ball does, in fact, reach the pins and you can celebrate!

 

 Some of the bigger kids thought they should help as well.

The older kids were too cool for any dropping or pushing.  They opted for the leg swing method. CJ later shared that he was double-dog-dared by his friend to use the push method. Oh the humility!

In the end, this was one very happy little boy!

 All because of these little people.
